W2O Group seeks motivated, ambitious and strategic-minded students and recent graduates to work with our teams in our stimulating and fast-paced office to help us shape and define the future of integrated communications.  Interns will have an opportunity to work with our teams to develop the strategic and creative thinking and project management/client service skills necessary to excel in an agency environment. Interns will work closely with seasoned professionals and actively participate in projects and receive exposure to all facets of the business. 
An Intern at W2O Group will work closely with various teams on research projects, applications and various other projects from inception to completion.  The ideal candidate must have a passion for learning, a “can do” attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Essential Functions:

The internship may include, but is not limited to the following: 

  • Provide support in documenting and creating processes to improve internal efficiency
  • Research, write and prepare communications for account teams
  • Support account teams with event coordination and client meeting preparation
  • Analyze various types of data and develop insights
  • Assist community managers on various social media platforms
  • Create and maintain information resources for account teams (media lists, databases, intranet, etc.)
  • Participate and contribute in planning meetings and team activities


  • 3rd or 4th year college student or recent college graduate
  • Strong written, verbal, and strong interpersonal skills (writing samples may be requested)
  • Leadership potential as demonstrated by on-campus or extracurricular activities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Highly organized and mindful of deadlines, solution-oriented
  • Able to balance multiple projects and the demands of a fast-paced work environment
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of social media platforms, such as Facebook, YouTube, StumbleUpon, Flickr, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA or above in a related major (i.e. in public relations, communications, integrated marketing communications, or related field)
  • Proven ability to function with minimal supervision
  • Effective presentation and project management skills
  • Agency internship experience preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Passion for integrated communications

Multiple Locations:  Austin, TX, Minneapolis, MN, New York, NY, San Francisco, CA
Semesters: Spring, Summer, Fall
Scheduled Hours: Full-time or part-time (varies by semester)
Work Days:  Monday – Friday
Work Hours:  9:00am – 6:00pm
Duration:  8 – 12 weeks
