Howie sits squarely in the intersection of business strategy, technology and storytelling. He has over a decade of varied experience in healthcare: from a stem cell research scientist aiming to cure Myocardial Infarction, to a clinical engineer working with implantable devices in the cath-lab, and now a hard-core product and brand marketer launching global brands.
He revels in the science of innovative technology as much as in the art of creative design. In his current role, he leads the branding and marketing arm of BrewLife, partnering with healthcare, technology, and consumer clients to understand who they are and how they can remain relevant in their market. With a strong brand foundation, that’s where the fun really begins: working together on an integrated marketing strategy and executing on programs that really move the needle.
At BrewLife, Howie has recently launched company / product brands and consulted on strategy for companies like Medtronic, Stryker Neurovascular, Siemens Healthcare, Cardinal Health, and NetScout. He also had the opportunity to collaborate with start-ups such as Earlens, Claret Medical, Topera Medical, Shockwave Medical, and Coravin.
Prior to W2O Group, he was Director of Strategic Marketing at Philips Healthcare in the Netherlands, where he was responsible for developing the sales and marketing strategy for a new business that combined imaging with cardiovascular catheters.
Howie has a passion for creating holistic customer experiences, blending different perspectives from a diverse background to ignite each point in the audience journey. He grew up in Singapore and has lived and worked in Switzerland and the Netherlands. When not at BrewLife, you can find Howie tracking down the next foodie hangout and planning a hike to soak in the great outdoors.
Howie has a Bachelors and Masters in Biomedical Engineering and Bio-Entrepreneurship along with an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.
