Group President, Transformation,
Consumer Activation and Marketing
Bryan leads the expansion of our strong healthcare core to meet the transformative demands of consumerization and tech-enabled engagement capabilities. He is guiding W2O through the infusion of consumer and influence marketing principles into the firm’s foundations in healthcare. Bryan is also sparking new growth in health-related categories such as wellness, nutrition and fitness, among others. Bryan’s 25 years of experience span public policy, crisis management, brand marketing, creative and integrated digital experience. He has a well-established record of delivering transformation that sparks meaningful growth for agencies, measurable results for clients and positive experiences for talent.
Prior to W2O he led Olson to multiple PRWeek and PRovoke Agency of the Year honors and helped lead Olson’s sale to ICF in 2014. He then served as a key architect in the subsequent integration and creation of ICF Next in 2018. Before Olson and ICF, Bryan built new practices and integrated capabilities for Weber Shandwick and Interpublic Group in both Washington, DC and Chicago. He began his career on Capitol Hill and at the White House in the 90’s before joining the agency world in 2001. He has led a wide range of client programs, from creative brand campaigns that won dozens of Cannes Lions and Effie Awards to leading the American Airlines 9/11 crisis response to the hijacking and crashing of Flight 77 at the Pentagon. He has driven engagement strategies on the ground across five continents, ranging from marketing campaigns in North America and Europe to product issues in Asia, brand controversies in the Middle East and human rights campaigns in Africa.
Bryan is a respected thought leader and change agent in the marketing communications industry. He was three times named to PRWeek’s Power 50 List and to PRovoke’s Innovator 25. He is very active on non-profit boards and in causes such as the American Red Cross, World War Zero for Climate Change Action and the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation. A passionate lifelong learner, Bryan is currently completing a Master’s in American History at Harvard via the Extension School and has completed graduate or executive studies at George Washington University, Harvard, Stanford and Columbia. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in American Ethnic Studies from Ohio University.
One of the few Chicagoans who does not root for the Bears, Bulls or either baseball team, Bryan lives happily in the suburbs with his wife Lauren and their two sporty kids, Charlie (15) and Elizabeth (12). The head of the household is a slightly overweight yellow lab named June. An avid runner, wine and bourbon collector, Bryan loves being outdoors (except in Chicago winters), spending time with family and traveling.
