Eileen O’Brien has more than 20 years of digital marketing experience in healthcare and since 2008 has advanced and shaped the use of social media in the biopharma space. She has counseled dozens of clients on social strategy, ranging from major pharmaceutical companies to innovative biotechs.
A passionate advocate for the compliant use of social media to communicate with patients and physicians, she leads a team of 75+ at W2O. Eileen has been named among the top 50 healthcare tweeters and from 2010-2012 she founded and moderated the #SocPharm Twitter chat where industry leaders discussed pharma marketing and social media.
Prior to joining W2O, Eileen was Associate Partner at Rosetta (now Razorfish) and concentrated on rare diseases at Siren Interactive. She began her career working for hospitals and held various marketing roles at Virtua Health and the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
She graduated from Brown University with a degree in history and has an MS from the University of Pennsylvania.
