Michele has a passion for developing brand-building communications programs that drive action and deliver on business objectives. She has a keen understanding of healthcare stakeholders and creates multi-channel communications that reach and motivate them. Michele has developed communications for products and franchises at all lifecycle stages, including clinical development, FDA approval, product launch, Rx to OTC switch and maturity. Her love for brand-building extends to corporate brands – both established and emerging organizations. Michele’s work here includes helping healthcare companies move into commercialization, as well as helping large pharmaceutical companies improve their relevance and reputation.
Michele challenges the status quo and has been at the forefront of integrated and innovative healthcare communications. Under her leadership her teams have forged unexpected partnerships, successfully navigated the social space and embarked on several “pharma firsts.” Michele is particularly passionate about reaching patient communities and has spent a considerable part of her career creating meaningful communications to reach them.
In Michele’s most recent position she led the healthcare divisions at Marina Maher Communications (MMC) and RXMOSAIC. During this time, she helped build and fuel the MMC healthcare division by applying the agency’s heritage and DNA of consumer marketing to healthcare. She also helped reinvigorate RXMOSAIC by introducing new services and offerings, growing the team and client roster and launching new agency branding. With Michele at the helm RXMOSAIC has experienced multi-year, double-digit growth and was named a Healthcare Agency of the Year finalist by the Holmes Report for the past three years.
Michele has a Master’s Degree in Health Communication from Emerson College. She was named a Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association (HBA) Luminary and served as a member of the organization’s Gender Parity Collaborative team. She was also named a PR Champion by PR Week.
